Campbell becomes managing director. |

Moore Le Messurier becomes part of the Elders Group (eventually becoming part of and integrated into the Carter Holt Harvey business). Campbell resigns and forms Swan Le Messurier with Roy Le Messurier's grandson, Nick Le Messurier.
Campbell's son Michael joins the company. |

Swan Le Messurier purchases a five acre site in Smithfield. |
